What is involved in a Tarot 	reading with Ibis Oracular?

It is similar to an ordinary Tarot reading – but perhaps with more freedom of interpretation. For one thing, we don’t believe the future is “out there”, or fixed – we are all about the present. When you get a reading from Dr. Duchemin, you are focusing on becoming present – precisely so that you can integrate the past and future, your burdens and your ambitions – into the present where you can express your spiritual freedom through action. Spiritual freedom and connection always trump fate. I can help you navigate the labyrinth and find your freedom in each session.

What kind of coaching do you provide?

Ibis Oracular uses the Tarot as a map to identify specific areas where traditional coaching and NLP techniques can be applied. For instance, we might use a variation on the “timeline” approach to resolve a traumatic memory – or set an empowering goal – but we would do it by reference to a specific card or archetype – for instance the Sun for wealth, or the Moon for self-doubt. In this way we intensify how closely the techniques affect us, and cover a lot more ground systematically.

Yes. I recommend the Alchemical Journey Through Tarot for beginners: these courses are live and hands on and there is opportunity to ask for clarification to specific questions you might have. These course are held several times a year – check on the website and subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when the next one is scheduled!

Yes, even experts are able to learn from these courses and approaches – you may not agree with all of it, but there is a substantial amount of original work, and novel approaches that are not found anywhere else.

The Alchemical Journey classes can be booked for various venues, depending - however we hold them regularly on Zoom in order to be accessible to people wherever they might be geographically.

What is Meta Magick?

Meta Magick is the modality which I developed to describe how I approach magick – as a trained philosopher, I believe in healthy skepticism – not all “magic” is very useful, and some can delude us significantly – at the same time, a reductive materialist philosophy is equally destructive, cynical, and foolish – meta magick recognizes truths of magical experience as they negotiate and integrate with the scientific and logical mindsets. Meta magick is magic reborn in the “Integral” age, as Jean Gebser would put it.

What is the Ibisystem Orrery?

The Ibisystem is a unique method of meditation which links symbolic ideas to the orbits of different planets, creating overlapping and interacting magical calendars. The deep work of Meta Magick involves learning to become synchronized to the real time movements of the cosmos by contemplating and tracking these calendars.
