Mages are the movers and shakers of history. They are the pivots and fulcrums around which the human tale turns. Each true mage utters "words" that unalterably shift our world around their axes. Each true mage is followed by a bridal train of shells - voices without fire, followers who seek to make their mage the final word, while misunderstanding that very word. There can be no final word - the attempt to have it summons the next word. All we can have is storms in which to dance. A chain of storms, forever.
