The fact that Judgement's Athbash partner is the Magician should feel very comfortable to esoteric Tarotists. The Magican is the Word, the Judgement is its voice in the World. When a magician speaks, they VIBRATE the intention and pattern of their Word. The magican's voice changes everything. And the two need each other - without the intelligence and skill of the mage, judgements are experienced passively, waver to and fro. Without the power of decision - the teeth - of the judgement, the Mage is rendered somewhat tractionless, mercurial to a fault. These two energies work together to shape worlds. Indeed, as the Judgement is on the 31st path of the Tree - and the sum of all the numbers 1-31 totals 496, we see how the fires of ATU XX - or the blast of its trumpet do indeed create the world, since 496 is the gematria for "Malkuth", the kingdom. Align your "will" with the divine. Self can dissolve into eternity. When the trumpet sounds, the Logos seeds the world with forms and parameters and pathways to realization.
