Here is a Magic Tesseract. It is composed of eight cubic "cells" where each point is numbered, from 1-16 such that all the cells total 68 - indeed every square in this array has the value 34 - which is twice 17, the number of the Star.
This structure, then can be a gate, a palace, a house - an assemblage of 16 points. One symbolic system which could be assigned to these is the system of western geomancy. There are others. You are free to explore.
This tesseract was composed by John Hendricks, I believe, and published in Cliff Pickover's Zen of Magic Squares, Circles, and Stars.
