In our metamagick system, we view the Trumps of the Tarot in eleven pairs. This is derived by folding the series over on itself - a qabalistic method called "Athbash". This has a lot of nuance to it, and I address this in other posts (See Moon week if you want deep details).
The Hanged Man is paired with the Hermit in this system. This should feel intuitively appropriate since both cards are related to the attainment of wisdom. The Hanged Man attains wisdom through sacrifice, and the Hermit through retreat. It could also be said that the hanged man finds themselves in external circumstances that force acceptance, while the Hermit undertakes a journey into a wilderness space. In any event these two energies are supportive of one another - or at least in sympathy.
If wisdom is the goal of this path, then you will go aright. A good question to ask this week is "Where can I find wisdom?"
