The Sun and the Priestess

If you fold the sequence of Tarot in half, you will find eleven pairs of Trumps whose combined number is 21. Each of these pairs has a reciprocal energetic. We learn a great deal by considering them together. XIX, the Sun is paired with II, the High Priestess. The High Priestess is typically assigned to the planet the moon (as opposed to the card "The Moon", which is assigned to Pisces. This then counterbalances the intense outgoing solarity of the Sun with a cool, introverted lunarity. This balance is perfect. The alloy of silver and gold is called "electrum". It occurs naturally and has been used in making coins, vessels, jewelry, and in the coatings atop pyramids and obelisks in Egypt. It is a good conductor. It is known also a "green gold".

An excellent question to ask the Tarot this week is: "How should we express ourselves?"
