Week of the Tens!

The ancient Pythagoreans swore their oaths on the Tetractys of the Decad, "the fountainhead of the universe", which is depicted to us as a triangular number expressing 1+2+3+4=10. This is to say, four stages are what it takes to bridge the Monad unto the Decad: for simple unity to become expressed as the fullness of existence.

This week experience the world. Go out and manifest what needs be manifested - but most of all pay attention to how that comes about from the depths: intention catalyzes imagination, forms a plan, and takes an action. This is the four-stage methodology at work. Every manifest existent has these four levels implicit in some way or another.

Here is an exercise. This week, find a crossroads. -Could be in the city, or the country, or even your back yard. Find a crossroads and go there - with no other purpose (no errands, no side-quests, nothing). Find ten pebbles, stones, coins, blueberries, what have you, and bring them along. When you get to the crossroads, state a desired reality that you wish to commit to manifesting. State it out loud, and address the spirits of the crossroads if you wish - be as terse or as poetic as you like - just go with what feels right. Then, in a meditative state, lay the ten pebbles out in the shape of the Tetractys. Feel the desired wish coming closer into manifestation, and when the figure is fully formed, the wish will have become inevitable. Thank the spirits of the crossroads, leave the Tetractys there as an offering and return home - staying in the Magickal mindframe until you reach your door.
