Life is Death is Life

On the theme of death is life is death is life it is worth considering the dynamics of the pentagram. Spirit, the quintessence, animates the four classical elements and gives them awareness - and yet that awareness is fundamentally dynamic - the pentagram must pass through phases in which it is point up, and phases in which it is point down. This implies a pulse of spirit through life and death as if it were the continuous fractal ingress into a tunnel of nested pentagrams, always moving into and through the center - life, death, life, death: Crowley remarked that they are twin coils of a single serpent. Consider this as the wave-nature of manifestation carries you onwards on your ways. There is a lamp can be crafted of all this.

The path of death completes the kite-shaped structure that has been called "microprosopus" the lower face of the tree. This is the face that we form, looking out to the world - arranging ourselves in respect of externality. Very soon, our journey will depart from this face, and we will begin to build a bridge toward the heavenly contemplation.

In this respect, consider the "Star of Venus" - also a pentagram. This represents five conjunction cycles between Venus and Earth. The process takes close to exactly 8 years (minus an hours or so), and includes 13 full Venutian orbits. These numbers, 8, 5, and 13, all pertain well to this path, to these discussion: 8 of the power of Strength, 5 of the fivefold star, and 13 of the journey through Death.

Those with ears, let them hear.
