Each person's path through life is a unique sculpture, a unique work of art. We do learn from others, but slavish devotion to a school is as misguided as formless autodidacticism.
Find a mentor whom you admire for their Way, their wisdom. Know that it cannot be surpassed- that is their way. Learn how they came to it, and you will see all over it and intertwined, the fingerprint of their mentors.
This is the Way.
Scale across the trellis of time, looking for the mentors' voice. These will become yours'. Have one, have several. Be one, be several.
It is in realizing that we are combining aeons worth of inspirational streams and labor-legacies into a living alchemy of life-expression that distills for the ages a vital art of durative, cyclic return - scaled across lifetimes and timelives - that we become the voices of the magick, the magick of the voices.
As we weave, so are we woven. The fabric is whole.
Each of our lives is a world of many strands, many mentors - and those ways all pass through us and beyond us, stretching into the past and the future.
Welcome to basketweaving 1001: We are each a forest of mentors and gurus and sifus and senseis and and magisters and magistras.
Find your these and combine their masteries uniquely into your path. Find and refine, for the Work has its own inertias, and there is a gravitas that compells us to become better - anything does not go - at least not happily, and not for long.
There is a better Way, always - yet there is never a terminal perfection.
The Great Work is your time-path - the capacity for each day to fit like a holographic fragment into a lifetime, and each lifetime to fit like a holographic fragment into an eternity, an infinite number of scale-layers in between.
Aleph to the Aleph.
The Great Work is the fractality of awareness and life itself which is ultimately indistinguishable from the universe at every scale of it's manifestation - and beyond.
The Great Work is Awakening. All Ways.
Thou Art Such.
